Vince Zampella, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The renowned industry figure lost his life when his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his loved ones, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
